Winds of Change (Merging)

Leafsun stood frozen, despair and defeat hung in the air. Broken spirits, broken hearts, and blood was every where. Everyone had lost something, some more than others. Some lost their life, some lost their family, others just lost hope. Her eyes glazed over, no tears came though, her tears had run dry. News of Wonderstar's death spread rapidly through the camp, all eyes were on the motionless russet she-cat. The only noise that she could hear were Heavyrumble's cries, as he curled next to his dead mate, knowing his kits could be dead or wandering through the forest, freezing to death.

She shook herself out of it, some cats still hadn't heard. They had to know...Leafsun made her paws come up off of the ground, they had been frosted to the snow. With every forced paw-step she felt the snow crackle under neath her, as it threatened to kill her with its cold power. She found herself looking over the grieving clan, their leader on the ground, motionless. "FORESTCLAN!" She called them, surprised at how her voice didn't crack, even when she felt as if she were to fall apart. "Our leader, Wonderstar, is in StarClan's paws now. She will be greatly missed." Her head hung in sorrow, she heard the pained cries erupting from the clan below her.

"I am the leader now. I will travel to Moon Tree tonight to receive my nine lives." She looked around the camp. "But before I go I will announce my deputy." She looked around the clan, everyone looked to Eagleheart, but he didn't seem right...She finally chose.

"I say these words in front of Wonderstar's body, so that StarClan may hear my words and approve my choice in deputy." She let her gaze fall on Lionsound. "Lionsound, you are young, but wise. You seek the advice of your elders and listen to your heart. Though you are barely a warrior I feel as if you have been a warrior for many seasons." Her eyes were on the young tom, and many surprised cats were too. "You are a loyal warrior, no one can doubt that." The tom was surprised but beaming. "You will be the clans new deputy." She purred. His eyes lit proudly.

"I have already gotten traveling herbs from Flamestone and Lionsound will go get his and we will travel to Moon Tree, we will be back tomorrow at Sun High." She stood and leaped down off of High Branch, she first padded to Windsflash, she knew of his power and the prophecy. She told him to race to EveningClan territory and get Jaystar, she needed to speak with him as well. The grey tom dashed off.

After Lionsound got his herbs they set out of camp, their paws forcing them through the snow. They ran for what seemed like hours, until they reached the border. Jaystar was waiting for them. His golden-yellow eyes troubled.

"I am very sorry." He dipped his head. "I have received a sign from StarClan that you may be interested in however..." He flicked his ears, he looked like he expected to be scolded! "The Evening must come to aid the Forest, to hid from their enemies in a dark shield. The clans must unite." He finished. His eyes darted to Lionsound who was bristling.

"That is a great proposal. Your telling me you would bring your entire clan to live under me as their leader,, giving up your nine lives, and your territory?" She asked,  stunned.

"No. Our territory would become a part of yours." He blinked. "If you remember why I am leader of EveningClan." He spoke softly, so no one but her could hear, leaving Lionsound out.

"Wonderstar let you leave to make your own clan. But you promised that if ForestClan ever needed assistance than you would come, to be our saviors." She blinked.

"Right. I am about to fulfill my promise. After tonight I will be Jaychaser, warrior of ForestClan once again." He dipped his head.

"Than we should be going." She stood and leaped off to the Moon Tree. Her paws carrying her swiftly, the toms barely able to keep up with her racing paws.

She stopped dead in the Moon Tree clearing, even on the coldest leaf-bare day the tree had green vines and leafs that shimmered with the snow. The tree inspired her, spoke to her, and scared her. So much power was right in front of her muzzle.

"No time to waste." Came Jaystar's meow from behind her. He had already leaped up onto the tree and nestled himself on one of the branches. She soon did the same, she climb up and curled around her paws, her tail covering her face. The moment she was settled she froze and stars flooded her closed eyes.

-----------Dream------------

Leafsun woke to find herself at the Great Oak, starry cats standing on its branches.

"Welcome Leafsun. Are you ready to receive your nine lives?" All the StarClan cats meowed at the same moment, as if they all  shared the same mouth.

Yes, I'm ready." Leafsun nodded, her paws wouldn't move, they were as frozen to the ground as the air that surrounded her. The air sparked with energy.

"With this life I give you courage. Use it well to defend your clan." The first voice spoke, it was Mousejump. She had been the first to attack the invading IronClan warriors, only to be silenced forever by a quick and accurate blow to her belly by Nightstar. As Mousejump touched her nose to Leafsun's forehead, her heart swelled and the feeling of extreme pain and also the ability to do anything filled her.

"Thank you Mousejump." She dipped her head once the pain had ebbed away, but the feeling of invincibility stayed.

"Leafsun, remember that there is a great difference between courage and stupidity. Think before you leap." She murmured her advice before she stepped away, leaving the way for the next cat.

"With this life I give you justice. Use it well to judge the actions of others." Pitchedvoice's purr came next. Her eyes were dull, even with the glow of StarClan in her pelt. Fury and pity for Pitchedvoice flared in Leafsun, she had been sent to ForestClan as a spy, for Ridgestar, but after his death she had turned from the clan that had hated her. Then she was killed by Nightstar, who still thought that Pitchedvoice was loyal to her. Again pain flared in her, once Pitchedvoice touched her nose to Leafsun's head. But with it came knowledge and understanding.

"Thank you." She dipped her head. Pitchedvoice only grunted and gracefully padded away.

"With this life I give you loyalty to what you believe to be right. Use it well to guide your clan in times of trouble." A cold and angry voice spoke next. Leafsun couldn't help show her shock at the cat that was now standing before her. It was Frightclaw, the former IronClan deputy. Leafsun's eyes grew cold, what could her mother have to offer her.

"Don't look so shocked daughter." She chuckled lightly. "Are you scared the clan will find out who your parents really are?" She asked, fake sadness colored her voice.

Leafsun didn't have time to speak before Frightclaw touched her nose to her forehead. Pains ran through her entire body again, leaving her panting. Frightclaw padded back to the other starry cats.

With this life I give you tireless energy. Use it well to carry out the duties of a leader." A soothing voice called, the tom still padding to her. His blue eyes shimmering, his pale grey pelt starry as the night sky. Runningstar. He was the leader of ForestClan before Wonderstar! He blinked at him, her eyes wide with amazement. He touched his cold nose to her head, this time fiery pain ran through her veins, she clenched her teeth so hard she thought that they might crack. Runningstar stepped away, leaving room for Grassblade, her older brother.

"With this life I give you protection. Use it well to care for your clan as a mother cares for her kits." He purred to his sister kindly his grass green eyes shimmering like they did when he was alive. She was a bit shocked that he was in StarClan, he had been mates with Wrenfeather, the medicine cat when he was alive, he died protecting their kits from the clan who was furious, Applesplash had no idea who her parents were...Her brother placed his nose on his sisters head, pain shot through her again and she felt as if her heart were being raked out.

"With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to train the young cats of your clan." A hazy grey and ginger she-cat spoke softly. Her eyes looking sadder. It was Fallenpaw. Fallenpaw had disappeared after the battle, just gone one day.

"Where did you go?" She asked softly.

"I can't remember..." She shook her head and put her nose on Leafsun's forehead. Again pain shot through her, but this time came pride, but her teeth made a cracking noise at her jaw clenching together.

"With this life I give you compassion. Use it well for the elders of your clan and for all cats weaker than you." Nightripple's voice rang above the pain. Her blue eyes piercing. She said no other words but she only touched her nose to Leafsun's forehead. The queen had died the night before Leafsun had returned...

"With this life I give you love. Use it well for the cats in your care." An all to familiar sing-song voice purred. A tiny creamy she-cat padded to Leafsun. Her crystal blue eyes shimmering like the night sky. Her daughter! It was Whisperkit! Oh how she missed her! Whisperkit had died of white-cough. It was horrible....

She bent down to her daughter who put her nose on her mothers. A pain that felt like it were ripping her a part spread through her, tearing her a part, like the pain she felt when she had lost her daughter. Whisperkit skipped away, not knowing the pain she had just inflicted.

"With this life I give you noblilty and certainty and faith. Use it well as you lead your clan in the ways of StarClan and the warrior code." Wonderstar's voice rang clearly with authority. Her pelt was the same russet that Leafsun missed so much. Wonderstar put her nose to her head and pain stabbed her, followed by the happiest feeling that Leafsun had ever experienced

"I hail you by your new name, Leafstar.Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine live of a leader and StarClans grants you the guardianship of ForestClan, and now EveningClan. You will keep the clan name as ForestClan however. Defend it well, care for young and old, honor your ancestors and the warrior code. Live each life with pride and dignity." Wonderstar began to fade rapidly. And so did everyone else.

---------Awake----------

She woke in the Moon Tree, Jaysta-Jaychaser waiting beneath her. She stood and leaped down with one graceful movement.

"Hello Leafstar." He purred happily.

"Hello Jaychaser." She replied.

"When do we come?" He asked, now more serious.

"Two sunrises." She nodded and he sped away and then she went to go back to camp with Lionsound.

-------Back in Camp-------

She padded back into the camp, everyone calling her by her new name. Respect and pain lit everyone's eyes. She climbed to High Branch.

"I have returned with my nine lives! I am now Leafstar!" She called and the clan yowled their congrats. "And our clan will grow! In two Sunrises EveningClan will be arriving, joining us!" She finished, but now everyone looked uncertain.

"We were wiped out by the IronClan attack! With this Our territory will double and we will gain numbers!" She purred. "And StarClan has spoken it's approval!" She nodded. "That is all! Clan dismissed!" She padded to the leaders den, but couldn't find the heart to enter.

Winds of Change (Inside the Enemy)

(Just so that no one gets confused I will first like to say that Nightstar is an unreliable narrator, who twists the stories in her own head into lies that she has told so many times that she even believes them now. And Thunderstar I am very very sorry but I have to play Bumblestep a bit, I will follow his character exactly though! And Nightstar will take his words and meanings, even the sound of his voice, as something that he didn't even say or sound like. )

Nightstar sat in the camp. Both Wonderstar and Bumblestep had disappeared, but to where...? Could she trust the ginger tabby tom? She had brought him here solely to be her mate just so that the dead Cloudspinner couldn't have him. She sighed and shook her head. Cloudspinner had always hated her, she would taunt her and harass her, but no one ever noticed!

"Nightstar!" Bumblestep's voice called for her from the other side of the clearing, and where others heard resentment in his voice, she heard love. "I caught Wonderstar trying to escape." He growled, but something flashed in his eyes, was it pity, disappointed? Maybe hatred?

"Good." She narrowed her eyes. "She will be kitting soon anyways, once the kits are safely born I will dispose of her." She growled, she couldn't have Wonderstar messing up her plans anyways, soon she will be dead and in StarClan with Cloudspinner. They wouldn't be able to stand in her way any longer. She narrowed her eyes. "But let's make sure you get the message that your not supposed to leave." Nightstar stepped forward, her claws slid out and Wonderstar's eyes widened with fright, stepping back away from her. Nightstar brought her paw down hard on Wonderstar's head, her claws making long gashes down her cheek, and neck. Blood rushed from the she-cat, who now lay on the ground crying out in pain, blood pooling around her. Poisonpoppy ran over with narrowed eyes, but started tending to Wonderstar. Nightstar looked down at her belly, wondering if maybe she should tell Bumblestep about her expecting Ridgestar's kits....no it would have to wait...

"Bumblestep come with me." She turned and padded to her den, letting IronClan cats surround and taunt Wonderstar, Bumblestep following her close behind. She curled up in her nest, Bumblestep curled up in the corner, seemingly as far away from Nightstar as possible. He must just want to make sure she gets a good night sleep is all...right...he loved her...she knew it.

Nightstar drifted into a deep sleep, but even in her dreams she couldn't escape her hatred for ForestClan. Thoughts of Wonderstar dead, her kits watching as Nightstar killed her swam through her thoughts, making her almost purr in her sleep. But then images of Bumblestep and Cloudspinner together hit her like a rock. Stabbing through her heart. They were together and happy, but Cloudspinner looked a bit older, and beaten. Her back legs completely still, but she still held the same gleam in her eyes. Bumblestep was happily grooming her as two young apprentices played by them. One a pure brown tom with muddy-brown eyes, and a golden-ginger she-cat with deep brown eyes. They both had the same gleaming eyes as Cloudspinner, and the same build as Bumblestep. THEY WERE THEIR KITS! THEIR KITS WERE ALIVE! Alarm shot through her dream. She woke with a start, her heart pounding, a shiver running up her spine. All that she planned seemed to be falling apart...

"NIGHTSTAR!" A yowl broke out from  the camp clearing, some she-cat's voice called out quickly and it sounded terrified. "Wonderstar is kitting!" The voice called again, this time more urgent. Nightstar groaned, she looked over to see Bumblestep still asleep, his face somewhat peaceful. She nuzzled closer to him, breathing in his scent, letting it wash over her. Wonderstar and her kits could wait until morning.

Nightstar tried to drift off to sleep again, but it never came. Only the drowsiness came, and the nausea they both consumed her long before someone called for her. She stood, Bumblestep still sleeping. Maybe he shouldn't see what was about to become of his former leader...

Nightstar padded out of the den. A rush of frozen air greeted her, refreshing her lungs. Her breath came out in a hot cloud that swirled around her in the morning air, before slowly disappearing as the cold once again took over where the hot breath had been. Nightstar forced her paws to carry her to the nursery, which was filled with the mewling of kits. The scent of milk washed over her.

"The kitting went great. She had two she-kits and three toms." Poisonpoppy's voice answered Nightstar's unspoken question.

"Good." She forced into the nursery. Only to see Wonderstar asleep with four kits cuddled next to her. This would be easier if she was asleep anyways. Nightstar grabbed the kits and padded out of the nurser  with them, padding into her den and settling them beside Bumblestep, who muttered lightly to their warmth. Then Nightstar remembered the two kits she had taken from Quiverbreeze before she had left and padded back to the nursery to grab them. She settled them down next to the others. She would raise them all so well, they would all grow up to be like her, strong and loving. She purred. The seven kits all were wriggling on the floor. They had to have names! She remembered.

She looked at Quiverbreeze's kits, they already had names. Marshkit and Rosekit, that fit them well! Time for  her to name the newborns! She purred. She looked first at the bright ginger and white tom, his white fur was pure, like snow, but his ginger fur was a bright red, like blood in the sunlight. He will be named Fierykit, she concluded.

She turned her attention to the next tom, he was small, a brown tabby with white patches. He looked like a sweet little guy. He mewled loudly. Acornkit. She decided.

Another kit mewled. Seemingly wanted attention. It was a small almost all black tom with a white flashed chest. He was already standing! She blinked at him, the others hadn't even tried to move their legs yet! She purred and nuzzled the little tom warmly, he purred too. Peak-kit. She licked the little toms head.

The two she-kits were both cuddled together, their chests rising and falling together. One a bright black, ginger, and white she-cat. The other a pure grey she-cat. Blossomkit and Viperkit, she concluded. Blossomkit seemed like such an innocent name, and then Viperkit seemed so strong. She liked Viperkit better then her sister already. She chuckled.

Bumblestep finally woke up, blinking the eyes that Nightstar loved so much. She licked his head and he groaned lightly. "Bumblestep. Watch the kits, you'll need the practice. You will be a father soon."  She whispered lightly in his ear, their kits would be born soon, and she would say they were his, not Ridgestar's, which would make everyone think that they had been mates when he was still with Cloudspinner, how wonderful! She grinned.

"Y-y-y-y-your expecting?!" He looked up, shocked out of his tiredness.

"Yes." She purred and licked his cheek. "Now there is some business I need to take care of." She stood and padded out of the den, Wonderstar was already standing in the clearing.

"Where are my kits?!" She growled with pure fury.

"All seven of my kits are asleep in my den, with my mate..." She blinked innocently. Why didn't Wonderstar just admit she had lost?

"You didn't even let me name them!" Wonderstar's voice cracked, the great leader was finally broken! Sobs escaped from the she-cat, sobs that seemed to rip right through the air.

"Don't worry. Fierykit, Peak-kit, Acornkit, Viperkit, and Blossomkit will be quite happy with me as their mother. They will grow up to be the best dark-forest warriors the clans have ever seen!" She laughed with triumph. Cloudspinner and her kits were dead, Wonderstar's kits were hers. There was no one left of the final prophecy! She grinned. Ridgestar had been right with this plan all along!

Wonderstar collapsed on the ground. Giving up. Giving in. "Why? What happened to sweet Nightpaw?" She looked up, her face and cheek stained with the times of tears and blood from the day before.

"YOU DID!" Her voice became shrill with fury. "You preferred Cloudspinner! You like her more than me! The entire clan did!" She yowled and dashed over to Wonderstar, in a blind fit of rage she brought her claws down on Wonderstar again, and again. Until she was dead, even her last three lives weren't enough for StarClan to fix the damage that was done. Wonderstar was gone. Time for ForestClan to get the news flash.

Nightstar dragged Wonderstar's motionless body through the forest, for a long long time. Her neck ached so badly! But she finally reached the border and laid the dead leader there. ForestClan would find her. And know that there was no hope left for them.

She dashed back to camp. But stopped, she couldn't let her new kits see her caked in blood! She found a stream and dove in, licking her fur until it was glittering, once she dried she rolled in some Cat Mint that she had taken from Poisonpoppy, she didn't want her kits to think she smelled bad.

When she was done she arrived back in camp, a new gleam in her eyes. "Tigerkit!" She called the ForestClan tom out of the nursery.

"Yes Nightstar?" He looked up at her. He was a good looking cat, and sure to grow up very strong she thought, maybe he should be matched up with someone...one of her own. But she didn't want to wait for her kits to be born! And she may not have a she-kit!

"Come meet my kits." She purred and padded to the leaders den. She thought about Viperkit. She would do nicely. But she had to keep Blossomkit away! Blossomkit was pretty. Viperkit was too, but not in the same innocent way. Viperkit looked deadly. "Have fun." She smiled and nudged Tigerkit to her kits. Have fun now, because when your older your life will be nothing but servitude to me....

Winds of Change (Aftermath)

Leafsun stared at the ruined camp. IronClan had long since left, but the clearing was coated in frozen blood and the stench of the rival warriors clung to the air, the combined scents and sights made her sick. Many cats were either dead or missing, but what she couldn't figure out was why Nightstar had told her warriors to retreat, it made no tactical sense!

"Leafsun. We know who is dead now.." Rubysoul's grim voice meowed from behind Leafsun.

"Who?" She turned around swiftly hoping that it would be a short list.

"Pitchedvoice, Greyfur, Ravenflight, and Mousejump are all dead. Oakpaw, Blazepaw, and Silverpaw are all pretty cut up. Thundertrace and Deepheart will never be able to preform warrior duties again.Wonderstar, Cloudspinner and Tigerkit are all missing." She sighed, her sister was lost. She could hear Berrysun's wailing from the nursery.

"Bumblestep left us for Nightstar and IronClan. He is not one of us anymore." A ragged and pain filled voice sounded from behind them both. They both turned to see Cloudspinner, only it wasn't the perfect and beautiful Cloudspinner that they all know. She was blood streaked, her back was twisted at an odd angle, blood stains formed at the sides of her mouth, and her eyes were dark clouded and dangerous looking. She looked ready to kill. One her other side was Freezestone, who had just set her lightly on the ground.

"Cloudspinner, are the kits...?" Rubysoul's soft voice filled with sorrow. Cloudspinner shook her head weakly, her kits were dead. "And Bumblestep left you in the forest?!" Her voice became shrill and in raged. Cloudspinner  nodded, tears threatened to over take the broken she-cat.

"We won't last a moon until we get ourselves in order!" Leafsun called to the clan with authority. "Vividpaw and Morningpaw will attend to every cat who needs it! I want Blizzardsight to take two cats out hunting with him, that is all we can afford. Please take APPRENTICES!" She nodded to the blind tom.

"Yes Leafsun." He nodded, his blind green eyes looking no where.

"Hiddenpaw and Risepaw, you will help the queens with their kits, let them all get some rest." She nodded to the two she-cats they were more than capable.

"We will do our best Leafsun." They ran off to the nursery.

"Pitchedvoice, Greyfur, Ravenflight, and Mousejump are all dead. But we don't have to luxury right now to morn them." She blinked back tears. "We will have to wait for that."

"They didn't deserve this!" Someone cried from the crowd. It was followed by sobbing.

"Bumblestep has left us to be with IronClan, also Wonderstar and Tigerkit are missing! We will try as hard as we can to find them but for now we must take care of ourselves." She blinked sadly. "Cloudspinner, Thundertrace,a and Deepheart need immediate medical attention. Either Vividpaw or Morningpaw need to watch over them, the other can look over the rest of the cats."

"Yes Leafsun." the to she-cats nodded.

"Everyone make yourselves useful and find something for you to do! That is all! Clan dismissed!" She yowled for everyone to disassemble.

"Eagleheart, you will be the temporary deputy, got it?" She blinked at the handsome tom.

"Yes ma'm." He flashed her the crooked smile that made her heart flutter nervously. "When will we look for Wonderstar and Tigerkit...?" He blinked.

"As soon as we can afford to. For now this is all we can do, fight to stay alive and strong." She flicked her tail and padded off to the leaders den so she could think.

Winds of Change (Time To Play)

Hiddenpaw groomed herself happily, the snow was falling lightly, covering the dead brown grass and the icy spots that had already almost made her slip and break her neck. Worry flickered in her belly, where was Risepaw? She had been gone since yesterday when Wonderstar announced that she was expecting. It was so unlike Risepaw, to just disappear like that. Suddenly a shriek filled the air, followed by the over-whelming rusty scent of blood that soon filled the clearing. Hiddenpaw's feet felt heavy as rocks, she turned to the camp entrance with a feeling of over-whelming dread at what she might see. First she saw only Pitchedvoice's unmoving shape on the floor of the camp, being surrounded by a pool of blood, but next she noticed the unmistakable jet black pelt of someone that had been long missing.

"Wonderstar, Cloudspinner. Time to play." The cruel and seductive voice of the stunning black she-cat rang through the clearing. The silvery eyes gazed across Hiddenpaw with fiery intent, murder hidden in their depths. The jet black-she cat had cruel yet stunning features, she was both so beautiful to look away and at the same time so chilling that the frozen air of leaf-bare couldn't compare. The she-cat's looks called out everyone of Hiddenpaw's deepest fears, the instincts that told her to run were screaming in her head, but she couldn't look away. Only a voice snapped her out of it.

"Nightfury." Cloudspinner's furious voice echoed in the clearing that was now dead silent. Hiddenpaw could feel the energy in the air sparking. "You decided to show your face here again. Where's your master Ridgestar these days?" Cloudspinner's voice echoed with confidence, as if she didn't see Pitchedvoice dead at her former clan mates feet.

"It's Nightstar now you mangy idiot." Nightstar's voice cracked the air like a whip, sending shivers through Hiddenpaw. She had heard about the she-cat. Nightstar had once been an apprentice of ForestClan, sweet and beautiful as could be. But jealousy of Cloudspinner drover her mad with rage, and she left. It had been moons since anyone had seen her, and this is what she had become. A monster from the dark forest.

A growled escaped from almost all the warriors of ForestClan. Mousejump, Thundertrace and Deepheart all flung themselves at Nightstar with pure rage at the death of their friend. Nightstar's claws flicked out swiftly, in one swift motion she cut a long gash down Mousejump's belly, a wound that would never heal. Then again she slashed at Deepheart, connecting with her face and dragging her claws over Deepheart's eyes. Thundertrace held back for a moment before running at Nightstar, following her sisters. Deepheart moaned on the ground, Mousejump twitched then fell still, and Thundertrace leaped at Nightstar.

A sudden yowl broke out with no warning. IronClan cats poured out of the camp entrance. Thundertrace was lost in the over-flow. ForestClan cats leaped into battle, cats tangled into battle moves, the sounds of shrieks and claws ripping through skin was too much for Hiddenpaw and she simply turned into her misty shape. She looked desperately for the cats she knew and loved.

She saw Rubysoul slipping into the nursery, alone. Hiddenpaw ran over and stood tall in the entrance of the den, protecting her mother desperately. But she still looked for her littermates, Windspaw and Lionpaw were both fighting a jet black she-cat that wasn't nearly as scary as Nightstar. WHERE WAS RISEPAW?! The sounds of battle consumed her, she looked for Cloudspinner. The white she-cat already had a long red gash along her spine, but she was fighting with Nightstar. Wonderstar poked her head out fo the nursery, only then did Hiddenpaw realize that she wasn't invisible anymore.

"Whats going on...?" Her sleepy voice moaned to Hiddenpaw.

"WERE UNDER ATTACK! YOU LAZY FUR BALL!" Hiddenpaw screamed at Wonderstar. Her voice surprised her, but jolted Wonderstar to reality. Wonderstar ran out of the nursery, to the aid of her mate. The calls of battle were all around her, consuming her into one sound of white-noise that pounded on her ears.

Suddenly she was on her side, a sleek grey tabby tom on top of her, growling with anger. He reminded her of Quickpaw...She snapped out of it and slashed at the toms belly, only to be answered by him making a gash down her shoulder. She growled and bit his ear as hard as she could, making quite a bad gash that made the warrior yowl with pain. Her claws here sore already but she kept battering away at the tom that was on top of her. A she-cat's voice yowled at the tom on top of her.

"Darkshiver! We have to find Quickpad!" She howled at the tom that Hiddenpaw guessed was her brother. The tom shook his head and turned back to Hiddenpaw snapping his jaws in her face, that made her shriek. Suddenly all the weight of the tom was off of her, he was just gone...She blinked, blood was filling her gaze, she must have a gash on her forehead...

"HIDDENPAW!" Risepaw's voice screamed from behind the apprentices den. "Whats happening?!" Her eyes were so wide that she could see their whites all around.

"IronClan is attacking! Where have you been?!" Hiddenpaw growled, her sister looked perfect, not a scratch on her!

"Oh my..OH STARCLAN!" Suddenly Risepaw's voice grew desperate, the looked on her face went from shocked to horrified, she looked like she was gonna faint!

"What? Whats wrong?!" Hiddenpaw looked at her sister with worry, what was happening?!

"Quickpad, he knew. He knew..." Risepaw trailed off, had she been with Quickpad?! Hiddenpaw felt curiosity rise in her, as well as rage. Her sister had left camp to be with another cat, a tom! She had stayed with him all night, so that she wouldn't be involved in the battle...

"YOU KNEW. AND YOU DIDN'T WARN US! WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?!" Hiddenpaw screamed at her sister. This could have been stopped, they could have been ready! But her sister hadn't told them!

"No, no, no, no..." Whimpering sounds escaped from Risepaw, her eyes teared up and Hiddenpaw felt her own burning. Risepaw suddenly screamed, but this time with pure rage that shook Hiddenpaw. Risepaw launched herself onto the nearest IronClan cat and started shredding them mercilessly. What had gotten into her sister?! She had no time to think before a tom had tackled her to the ground and she snapped back into battle mode. Hoping that this would just be over.

Winds of Change (Love and Lies)

Risepaw sat in the clearing with her littermates, they had just come back from meeting with the IronClan apprentice, Quickpaw. She liked the young tom, he was just as small as her, it made her feel like she was normal sized. She flicked her tail, she couldn't wait to go see him at moon-high which was fast approaching. Her paws itched.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey join for a clan meeting beneath High Branch!" Wonderstar's voice called loud and with great authority, did the clan know that she only had 3 lives left..? Risepaw blinked, confused, how had she known that...? Her ears fell back, great was she just plain weird?

"We have many new cats today! We have four warriors joining us! Please welcome Bumblestep, he will be our deputy, Blizzardsight, Greyfur, and Ravenflight!" She nodded to the toms, they all nodded back. From behind them Risepaw could see Leafsun's glowing pelt, gleaming even more in the half-risen moon.

"We also have a queen! Berrysun will be going to the nursery because she is expecting." The entire clan cheered for the she-cat, the last kits that were in ForestClan had been her and her littermates! And that was almost 8 moons ago. But everyone thought that Dizzysong was expecting Eagleheart's kits, which was dead wrong. But if Risepaw's theory is right, than Wonderstar was expecting, and they were Heavyrumble's kits, which may prove bad if Swiftblizzard found out...Then Risepaw's ears fell back again. How did she know all these things...?

"We have seven new apprentice! Please welcome Flashpaw, Swiftpaw, Morningpaw, Vividpaw, Silverpaw, Oakpaw, and Blazepaw!" She nodded to the line of young cats. "Flashpaw, Swiftpaw, Silverpaw, Oakpaw, and Blazepaw do you all promise to train as an apprentice of ForestClan, protect us with your lives, and follow the ways of the warrior code?" She looked down at them.

"I do." They all spoke at the same time. Eyes glittering happily. Only Vividpaw and Morningpaw said nothing.

"Than Flashpaw your mentor will be Blackheart. Swiftpaw your mentor will be Pitchedvoice. Silverpaw your mentor will be Mousejump. Oakpaw your mentor will be Greyfur. And Blazepaw your mentor will be Blizzardsight." All the new mentors grinned happily, and Risepaw couldn't help but be happy that there would me more apprentices to keep the den warmer.

"Vividpaw and Morningpaw both want to be medicine cat apprentice. They wish to follow the path of loneliness  that will be rewarded by the saving of many lives, and a special place in the clan. But we have yet to have a medicine cat and StarClan has not yet told me which is right for the job. So we shall wait until we have a medicine cat, to decide, or until I am given a sign." She nodded at the two apprentice who only sighed.

"Finally I have a very special announcement to make. I am now Heavyrumble's mate, and I am expecting his kit!" She purred and half closed her eyes, which was probably for the best so she couldn't see Swiftblizzard's pained look. But the clan didn't see it and they all cheered for their leader.

"That is all! Clan dismissed!" She lept off of high branch and to Heavyrumble, who greeted her with a purr.

"Wow, Wonderstar and Heavyrumble, who would have guessed!" It was Lionpaw. His purr made her edgy. She hated his power, she always felt like she wasn't in control of her feelings around him. I knew. A voice screamed inside her head. But she ran off, she was late to meet Quickpaw anyways she didn't want him to think that she wasn't going to show up. As she ran, falling snow dotted her grey pelt and the sounds of purrs and yowls faded behind her, the scent of the camp became more and more distant. Her paws felt numb by the time she found where Quickpaw wanted to meet. But he wasn't there...Was she too late?

"I was starting to think that you weren't going to show up.." A soft purr sounded just a fox length behind her. She turned to see Quickpaw looking at her with his coal black eyes, they were glittering in the moon-light. His sleek pure black pelt dotted with falling snow. A shiver went up her spine, he was from IronClan, she should be terrified of him. But she wasn't once his enticing scent hit her nose, instead she fell into a hazy sleepy feelings, that only got worse when he rubbed his muzzle on hers and she found herself purring. Whats happening..?! Her eyes widened when suddenly his touch disappeared, had he left her?

"Up here." He purred again from the tree, he was sitting in a nicely made nest that was in a crook were a branch split into two. Risepaw climbed after him with hurry, why was she even here?!

"Can't you talk?" He sighed, his eyes lost their spark for a moment, but then his eyes met hers and they ignited again.

"O-o-o-o-of C-c-c-coarse Quickpaw. " She tried to sound cool and non-shalant but it came out in a cracked whisper.

"It's Quickpad now. Come on, the nest is warm." He smiled. "And the stars are beautiful from up here." His eyes were so sincere, she ;et the fact that he could easily push her out of the tree and kill her, just slip her mind. She curled up in the nest beside him with a sighing purr. Her eyes were half closed. His scent washed over her again and she took a deep breath. He gently licked her ear, and butterflies rioted in her stomach.  Sudden;y the image of Nightfury at the Moon Rocks flashed in Risepaw's mind, and she nearly shrieked.

"I'm sorry!" Quickpad jolted away from her, his eyes hurt and his face depressed a bit. "I-i-i-i Just really like you, if you don't like me the same way..." His voice trailed off sadly.

"It's not that." She looked at him. He looked back the hurt was now mixed with suspicion, he thought she was lying! Risepaw leaned in and licked his nose sweetly. "It's not that." She repeated.

He purred very loudly and she was sure that the entire forest could hear him. "Than what is it?" He whispered, his hot breath tickled her ear and she kept a giggle from escaping.

"Nightfury, shes Nightstar now..." She flinched when she felt Quickpad stiffen beside her. "You knew?!" She looked at him angrily. "She took over?! And you didn't tell me?!" She stood with anger, making him fall away from her.

"Yes I did know. I didn't want to upset you." He admitted. He took a step closer to her and put his forehead to hers. "I'm sorry."

"Go. Now." She looked away. She didn't want to do this. "You should be home right now, with your clan. They need you." She sighed with sadness. She didn't want to have to make him leave.

"No. They are fine. And I'm staying here with you." He insisted. His eyes suddenly dark and protective, Risepaw didn't understand.

"I should go then." She looked away. "This isn't allowed anyways, and were just apprentices." She sighed.

"I'm not an apprentice anymore." He reminded her with stern eyes.

"But I am!" She felt her eyes burning. What was happening!? Why wouldn't he let her just go?

"Stay please." He said, desperation filled his voice. He wound himself around her, his body warm against the cold night air. "Just tonight, and you will never have to see me ever again." He promised with a sad flinch.

"Fine. Just tonight." She sighed. She laid back down beside him and he started grooming her, before they both fell asleep.

Winds of Change (At First Sight)

Quickpaw sat on the ForestClan border. His coal black eyes flickering with anger, and fury. He had gone his whole kit-hood thinking that Ridgestar was his father, only to be told by the dying medicine cat that it was all a lye! His whole life so far had been a deception, because Ridgestar knew that either Quickpaw or one of his littermates was going to be a cat of the prophecy! He snarled angrily. If it wasn't for his size, he would have killed Ridgestar.

"Quickpaw, were here." Lionpaw's soothing voice called through the heavy underbrush, and a few seconds later the golden-brown tom came padding to him, with a pure white she-cat leaning on his shoulder. It had been almost a moon since the phantom fox had told him his destiny, and same with Lionpaw and his littermates, but he had never met Lionpaw's kin before....One by one they came from the shadows, at least he thought. First a quick-footed grey tom, with stunning green eyes. Behind him a hazy shape that he could make out as a she-cat from her scent, she appeared as soon as she was sure that there was no one but Quickpaw, her golden dappled pelt shone in the sunlight. But no one else came, just the amazingly beautiful white she-cat.

"I thought you said you had two sisters...Is this one your older sister?" He looked at the white she-cat, whose eyes met his, shocking him with their aqua beauty.

"No, Risepaw?" He looked for someone. "He won't hurt you, I promise. I will shred him if he does..." He glared strait at Quickpaw. His eyes showing unimaginable protectiveness over his sister, who was still hiding. All the littermates looked in one spot, but was only a shadowed nook in the forest. But he saw the rough outline of a tiny she-cat. Quickpaw padded over, not scenting anything. He stood right next to the shadow and looked to where a cat should be, but there was no one. Confusion filled his face. He stepped back into the sunlight, where his eyes burned from the harsh light. Only then did he see a hint of grey fur on the shadow that looked so much like a cat.

"RISEPAW!" The white she-cat nearly howled at the apprentice. "Get out here! This is no time for games!" She hissed with anger. The shadow moved and the instant it touched sunlight it turned into a pretty slate grey she-cat with vivid blue eyes that sent shivers of butterflies through Quickpaw.

"Sorry." Risepaw looked down, hiding her wonderful blue eyes. Quickpaw felt a tinge of sadness for the prety she-cat.

"Don't worry about it. Turning into shadows is cool." He whispered to her.

"What can you do?" She blinked back at him for a moment. And Quickpaw only looked back, he wished he could do something amazing, but no, he had to be the cat in the prophecy that couldn't.

"Nothing." He looked away and Risepaw quit talking and padded to Lionpaw.

"Quickpaw. I am Cloudspinner." She white she-cat meowed sweetly, as if she hadn't just hissed at the other apprentice.

"Nice to meet you." He smiled. "We have much to talk about." He didn't wait for a reply before he started. "Nightfury, or Nightpaw as you know her, is now my fa-Ridgestar's mate. But she tried to kill our medicine cat Poisonpoppy, who bless StarClan, is still alive. I think she is planning a take over of the clan, she always seems to tell my father what to do. Things in IronClan are falling apart." He sighed. "If there is ever been a time to take over there, it would be now." He concluded. Cloudspinner only started at him and then  nodded.

"I will speak with Wonderstar. Risepaw, Lionpaw, Hiddenpaw, and Windspaw. Time to go." The beautiful white she-cat spoke urgently. And they all stood and began to pad away. Worry sparked in Quickpaw, what if the next time he saw Risepaw it would be in battle?! He ran over to her.

"Meet me here tonight at moon high." He whispered softly i her ear, not sure if she even heard him. But then she flicked her ears in response and leaped off, turning into a shadow once again. Quickpaw stood there for a long time, staring at where she disappeared, until the blazing heat of sun high told him to go back home.

All the way home he could have sworn he scented the rusty twinge of blood in his nose. He felt a threating breeze rush over the territory. And he shook his head clear, nothing could have happened while he was gone, but he was wrong. Right in the middle of the camp was Nightfury, standing over Ridgestar's unmoving body. A slow chill ran up his spine, Ridgestar was dead, and so were many others...Nightfury had begun the take over. He looked through all the motionless, there was Flutterflurry, and Shadowpaw. But there were only a few who remained, but there were still enough for Nightfury to lead.

He looked at Nightfury, who had an evil grin on her face. She lead Airboom and Frightclaw out of camp with her. Quickpaw ran to Quiverbreeze, who was standing over his littermates.

"What happened?!"  His eyes were wide.

"Nightfury killed them. Shes going to moon pool to get her nine lives now..." Horror rose in the she-cat gaze. The only cats left were his littermates, Quiverbreeze, Poisonpoppy, Splashrunner, Raggedheart, and Quiverbreeze's five new kits. IronClan was collapsing from the inside out, and Nightfury was going to lead them.

(((. All cats have been added except for Quickpaw, because there is a name change needed. Also all in-active cats have been deleted, which means we have no medicine cat now. Winds of Change (The Beginning)

Cloudspinner sat on the edge of the clearing. It had been a moon since Nightpaw had disappeared,  she had always liked the young she-cat. She had always thought of them as friends...Truthfully Cloudspinner had been jealous of the stunning she-cat. She shook her head. There was no time to be sad, so much was happening, she had feelings for Eagleheart, and she was sure that Wonderstar did too, IronClan was growing stronger, and her dreams were getting stranger and stranger...

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey join for a clan meeting beneath High Tree!" Wonderstar's voice flowed over the cats. "We have much to talk about today! To start Bumblestep is taking a break from deputy! He wants to have a moon or so of rest before he stands back up to his duty.." She looked at him and he nodded. Wonderstar flicked her tail a tad aggravated. "So Leafsun will be taking his place for now!" She nodded to the bright white and ginger she-cat who hid her glowing green eyes.

"This is a proud day for ForestClan! By naming apprentice we show that we will grow strong and live on! Next we have kits that have reached their sixth moon! Hiddenkit, Risekit, Greykit, Lionkit, Windskit, and Snowkit please step forward!" She called the six kits.

"Hiddenkit, Risekit, Lionkit, Windskit, Snowkit, and Greykit. From this day forward you shall be known as Hiddenpaw, Risepaw, Lionpaw, Windspaw, Snowpaw, and Greypaw!"

"Hiddenpaw, your mentor will be Eagleheart. Risepaw your mentor will be Leafsun. Lionpaw, your mentor will be Cloudspinner," Cloudspinner looked at Wonderstar with surprise, her ears pricked with shock that she was going to be a mentor. Lightning cracked over head, followed by roaring thunder. All the cats jumped and screeched. But Wonderstar kept talking,"Windspaw, I will mentor you. Snowpaw, your mentor will be Blackheart, and Greypaw your mentor will be Pitchedvoice." She nodded to the mentors, including Cloudspinner. "That is all! Clan dismissed!" She let the cats all pad off.

"Hi Cloudspinner!" Lionpaw's voice sounded from behind her. She turned and touched noses with the young tom who was already her size. "My dad wants to talk to me, sorry!" He let his ears fall back and he ran to Blackheart with urgency. Had she scared him? Sorrow nipped at her heart, and rain started to thump lightly on the ground. She shook her head, why was it every time she felt an emotion different things happened around her...?

Cloudspinner wondered in the forest for quite a while, her blue eyes looking through the trees. There was a crack behind her and she turned swiftly, there was a massive battle scarred fox standing a few mnouse lengths away from her, a snarl ripped from its chest and through the air. Thunder cracked over head as a chill swept through Cloudspinner, what was this fox waiting for...

"Spinner of Clouds." A ragged and rough voice seemed to slip out of the foxes throat, it was mangled and sent shivers down her spine.

"Cloudspinner." She corrected. "How do you know me?" Her eyes flickered, it wasn't every day that you met a talking fox...

"Come, much to do in little time." He said, barley able to spit the words from his mouth.

"How do you know me?!" She insisted, he was avoiding her question!

"Not important. Just come, now." He turned and stalked into the forest, his scrawny shape melting into the blackness. Cloudspinner followed, tentatively. She was told to never let a fox go, to always shred it the second you saw it, she couldn't possibly trust this one! But for some reason she wanted to see what he wanted from her. She saw him sitting in front of various objects, each different in many ways.

"Sit Cloud Spinner." He stood and motioned for her to take his place. She blinked at him and sat. He looked at her, she was expecting cold black eyes, but only saw kind, deep, brown eyes. "Look at the objects in front of you." He commended with a strangled sound. She did as she was told, there was a large stone, as large as a kit, a leaf, a rose, the pool of water, a piece of metal, and some strange two-leg object.

"What do I do with them?" She looked at him with curious eyes.

"This is test. Do amazing thing." He nodded. "I cannot tell chosen what they do." His cat was hard to understand at best, and when he spoke he looked as if he was in pain. She stared at first the stone, amazing...if she was right than this should work...The rock wobbled on the ground, before it rose slowly in front of her. She blinked in amazement before the rock fell. She did the same with the rose and the leaf, but when she came to the water she let it rise and rise, until it was far above them, higher than hte clouds and the birds.

"Wow..." She whispered. She looked at the fox, but he was gone, and no scent of him remained. Almost as if he was never there. She gaped. She blinked but looked at the metal, something deep and furious rose inside her, and in an instant the metal was crushed from all sides, forming dust on the ground.

She stood and took a step back, if she got angry at the metal, what could she do to a cat...? She blinked and shook her head for the thought to leave her mind. She heard rustling behind her.

"Come out!" She growled with fury, she hated the fact that someone could be watching. Was is the phantom fox again...? But only Lionpaw stepped out of the gloom, his fur glittering like gold in the dim light. "And the others." She hissed. She saw a shadow move across the ground, but no cat. Until it stepped into the light, where Risepaw came into being. "Windspaw, and Hiddenpaw too." She let her gaze soften. Windspaw came in a flash of breeze and sat beside his two other litter-mates. But where was Hiddenpaw?

"I'm here." Came Hiddenpaw's soft voice. From right beside Cloudspinner. But she couldn't see Hiddenpaw, only a hazy shape in the air.

"Were all different Cloudspinner. Trust me. Lets go find Quickpaw, he should be waiting for us." Lionpaw's reassuring gaze made Cloudspinner's heart pound and also found herself following the new apprentice. But then she remembered,  Quickpaw was from IronClan! She felt Lionpaw's shoulder on hers, his scent washed over her and she calmed again.

"Don't worry. We will explain." He purred and they padded to the IronClan border.

Darkness Stalking-IronClan Part 4

Raggedheart waited patiently for Nightpaw. Ridgestar had been very specific with him about what he wanted, Nightpaw. It had been almost a moon since Raggedheart had last seen her and he was sad that she hadn't come to see him for so long, had she lost feelings for him? His ears fell back at the thought, never before had he loved someone, he always was so distant, but Nightpaw was different, and now she was going to be ripped from him just to be mates with his father.

"Raggedheart?" Nightpaw's sweet voice called through the forest, and all the bird songs stopped. What was it about her sweet voice that also filled him with fear, that sent a shiver down his spine? Without seeing her he could tell she was in a foul mood, as always.

"Nightpaw!" He called back and searched for her through the under-brush. His hazel eyes scanning everything that moved, but he looked right over her pitch black shape, right before she leaped onto of him with joy and had the same playful gleam in her eyes like a young kit.

"I missed you!" She purred happily to him. She looked so different! Her once fluffy pelt was gone, replaced by a sleek and slim one that showed every ripple in her power muscles. Her silver eyes gleamed with a new light to them. But what caught his eye was not her new beauty, but the danger to everything about her. Her teeth were longer and sharper than a normal cats, her eyes seemed to see every weakness in him, and her claws were out shimmering in the sunlight.

"My father has been watching you." He couldn't do this, stare at her and be terrified like this, but everything about her seemed to draw out every single one of cats ancient fears. What had happened to the soft face and eyes that he had grown to love? Now all he saw were sharp angled cheek bones and glittering ambition in her wolf-en hungry eyes.

"Really!" She smiled, she had told him about how handsome she thought his father was, so he guessed she was very exited.

"He thinks your beautiful and wants you to come to IronClan to be his mate." He spat it out, his father was defiantly loving her cruel beauty..

"REALLY?! LETS GO!" She yowled with amazement, and a sick feeling grew in Raggedheart's stomach, this was not how it was supposed to happen! She was supposed to stay the sweet-beautiful Nightpaw that he had first met, the one that wanted nothing but to please him and all the others. She was meant to be his mate, his sweet loving mate. But this is what jealousy has turned her into, he couldn't love her like this....

"Okay." He said and turned to run off with Nightpaw at his side. This was it, he knew that he was going to lose her, but not like this...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poisonpoppy sat on the edge of the clearing. Her intense gaze saw every detail of every living and non-living thing in the clearing. She saw everything from Frightclaw's hatred of Ridgestar's newest mate, Nightfury. She let her lip rise in a angry snarl. Ridgestar had brought the beautiful she-cat to IronClan with help from his son a few moons ago. He had tricked this she-cat into loving him, and now Quiverbreeze was one of the she-cats that he USED for toms to mate with for kits. No love. But Nightfury wasn't the quit and obeying mate that Ridgestar wanted, anyone could see that. She constantly questioned him, and threatened Poisonpoppy.

"Poisonpoppy!" Nightfury's angry hiss came from behind her. She spun to see the cruelly beautiful black she-cat behind her. Her eyes widened, with shock and fear.

"Yes Nightfury?" Her ears flicked, she casted every fear from her body and looked the she-cat in her piercing silver eyes.

"You're going to tell Ridgestar to attack ForestClan, a sign from StarClan told you to." She narrowed her eyes, daring Poisonpoppy to challenge her.

"But they didn't." She glared back with anger and fury. She would not lie!

"Then StarClan has to send the message..." Her eyes flickered with fury. Quick as a snake she flipped Poisonpoppy to the ground, claws on her exposed neck. "Fight or cats die. Starting with the medicine cat..." The claws dug deeper into Poisonpoppy's next, blood was flowing freely, was no cat in the clearing seeing this?! Help!!!! She screamed in her mind, but her mouth was unable to open.

"Nightfury." Airboom's voice sounded from around the corner. "Stop..." He kept talking but the words were like white-noise on her pounding ear drums. Her vision blurred, an ear splitting head-ache coming to her, right before she passed out...

More Cats and the Prophecy

Wonderstar padded to the great tree, her paws thudding lightly. She was purring to herself even! Her tail flicked back and forth. She leaped with her powerful hind legs onto the lowest branch and just kept climbing until she was four fox lengths above the forest floor. Her tail keeping her balanced the entire way up. Her teal eyes scanned the clearing. Many cats were still unmoving. Most cats never did anything at all.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey join for a clan meeting beneath High Branch!" Her voice called with authority over the heads of the other cats. They all ran over to hear their leader speak. "Today we have five cats joining us!" She stopped to let the five pad to the front of the group. "We have Islandmist-" She was cut of by a surprised howl from an apprentice at the camp entrance. As Wonderstar looked up to see what caused it she caught her breath. It was Eagleheart! The handsome heavy-set tom strode into camp with arrogance, but seemed as if he belonged. His brown eyes met Wonderstar's and her heart pounded. She remembered the tom all to well, back when they were paws together. She had loved him, but he left and she was sure her feelings for him were gone, but looking into his brown eyes again made them flood back like an uncontrollable river.

"Make that six." He grinned with happiness. Wonderstar blinked at him widely, surprised by his calmness in the clan he left so many moons ago.

"W-w-w-we have six cats joining us today." Her voice stammered and faltered as she tried to regain her normal coolness, but she couldn't. "Islandmist is going to be our medicine cat, she will travel to Moon Rocks tonight with me so that StarClan may grant her as a full medicine cat to us. We also have Leafsun, Nightclaw, and Tigerblaze joining as warriors." She nodded to the three.

"And we have Fallenpaw, who will be an apprentice! Fallenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life, and train to be a full warrior of ForestClan?" Wonderstar looked at the grey tabby she-cat, who only nodded seemingly unable to speak. "Than your mentor will be Nightclaw." She smiled and let the two acquaint themselves.

"Also Rubysoul had her kits! She had four healthy ones, two she-kits and two toms. Their names are Hiddenkit, Risekit, Lionkit, and Windskit!" She purred. "And Berrysun should be kitting soon as well, soon our nursery will be full!" She looked at Snowkit and Greykit, wondering how old they were...

"That is all! Clan dismissed!" She lept from high branch and padded to Islandmist.

"Are you ready to go now?" She flicked her ears at the almost medicine cat of ForestClan, who only nodded in return. Wonderstar padded to the medicine cat den and grabbed the two traveling herb bunches that Islandmist had prepared earlier. They both ate them before leaving, as they started to pad from camp Wonderstar gazed at Bumblestep, he wasn't making a good deputy lately, she didn't want to leave him in charge...she called Deepheart over instead and told her to watch the camp.

Wonderstar and  Islandmist ran together for what seemed like moons, and Wonderstar's paws started to ache, but they were close. She could almost smell the coolness of the cave. With a final burst of energy she ran through the hedge that hid the wide mouthed cave. She and Islandmist came to a stop at the entrance to catch their breath, the musty stench of most caves was not here, only the scent of wind, earth, fire, and water all mixed into one enticing scent.

The padded in, their paws hitting the cool cave floor sent shivers to their spines. As they padded through they could hear the waterfall, pounding water hitting cave floor. Their paws stopped at the same time when the reached one long spike of rock coming from the roof, hanging close to the glittering pool of water.

"You lap up the water and then touch your nose to the spike." She instructed Islandmist. Who did as she was told, and froze in place the second her snout touched the spike. Wonderstar gazed at the long spike, theirs smelled like the forest, and if you looked closely it even appeared to have been carved by claw to look like moss. She touched her nose to the rock and froze, falling into a deep sleep.

She was in a misty clearing alone. Her eyes unfocused. Her mind buzzed from the cool of the air. But then her vision cleared and she made out shapes in the mist before her. She could't make out cats, but she could see eyes, the eerie eyes, she felt as an invisible warriors claws were slashing at her spine. But then a soft voice whispered in her head...

Under the pureness there are lies and deceit, fury growing in the darkest of nights until the forest is turning on itself.
Only on quick running winds may a gentle cloud come, ready to bring back the peace that all have lost.
But cannot reach its full potential until the quivering breeze lashes out like a roaring lion and stop all.
And hidden power that has laid dormant will rise and bring fiery light back to the darkness in a way too powerful to comprehend.

The Nine will come...

Images flashed before her eyes, too fast for her to see. She saw glittering claws, she smelled blood and ash. Everything was screeching at her, her ears felt as if they were bleeding and she collapesed, her eyes glued shut trying to bock it all out. Then it all stopped, her eyes opened and she was in the cave, on the floor, sweating. Islandmist was licking her paw next to her. Calm.

"It's time to go." Wonderstar stood, shaky but steady too. And she padded out. Terrified of the future to come.
